TASERING ON THE INTERNET FOR FUN?

Has anybvody watched the local news lately-  My Space/ You Tube have videos of teenagers/youg adults tasering themselves-  A college prank?  I think not!  Stun guns affect the central nervous system-  They do not cause death because amperage is low on a stun gun- Stun gun uses high voltage and low amperage to temporarily disable an attacker for several minutes. Stun gun does not rely on pain for results. The energy stored in stun gun is dumped into the attacker muscles causing them to do a great deal of work rapidly. This rapid work cycle instantly depletes the attacker blood sugar by converting it to lactic acid. In short, he is unable to produce energy for his muscles, and his body is unable to function properly. Stun gun also interrupts the tiny neurological impulses that control and direct voluntary muscle movement. When the attacker neuromuscular system is overwhelmed and controlled by the stun gun he loses his balance.

 

Still- this comical prank can produce soem undesirable results-  1ST- Prongs of a stun gun get hot-  Burns can result from this- 2nd- Loss of muscle control-  Falling down and incurring a blow to the head resulting in a concussion-

 

If nothing else-  these pranks are a ringing endorsement for stun guns as a great nonlethal self defense item!
